30-Day Nonpayment Notice Rule Indefinite Delay Notice Publication Date

Publication date of HUD’s notice indefinitely delaying the interim final rule’s effective date. HUD stated that the February 26, 2026 interim final rule revoking the 30-day notification requirement for nonpayment of rent would be delayed indefinitely pending consideration of public comments. HUD also stated that the interim final rule would not take effect as written because it would be superseded by a later final rule, while still keeping the related comment deadline in place for April 27, 2026.
